Approach

People first is not a slogan. It is how the work gets done.

Being heard does not always mean getting the answer you hoped for. It means knowing your perspective was respected and considered.

You cannot move an audience you do not understand.

Audience strategy comes before message strategy. Listen broadly. Decide clearly. Communicate with respect.

How Gina works

Four steps, in this order

01

Listen

Talk with the people doing the work before prescribing anything. Listen far more than you speak.

02

Understand

Learn the goals, pressures, history, audiences, and constraints that shape what is possible.

03

Align

Bring leaders, message, structure, and implementation into the same direction.

04

Build and Lead

Create the strategy and systems, then stay to help carry the work forward.

Advise the decision. Shape the message. Build the system that carries it.

What matters to me

In my experience, strong leadership is rarely complicated. It is just uncommon.

I believe good leadership requires listening, clarity, candor, empathy, accountability, practical execution, and real respect for the people closest to the work. I would rather ask more questions up front than hand an organization a solution that does not fit. And I believe humanity and accountability are not opposites — the best organizations hold both at the same time.

Beyond the work

Perspective comes from stepping away from the desk.

A former NCAA Division I softball athlete, Gina still works best with a team, a plan, and a clear objective. Outside of client work, she finds perspective through nature, family, travel, movement, and time outdoors — the same places most of her clearest thinking tends to show up.
